Show up, and line up. It's easy. Anyone can participate!

The parade is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community as hundreds of residents and visitors flock to the streets of downtown Bellingham on Sunday, March 17th. The committee invites marching bands, neighborhood associations, schools, musical groups, dancers and green and local businesses to participate. Entry is free and open to all family-friendly, non-political groups.

The parade committee encourages floats, cars, and marching bands to register by using the signup form below. Everyone else may just show up at the staging area in your finest green on W. Laurel Ave (near Waypoint Park) between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Registration required for cars, floats, musical groups (and horses!)

You are now registered to march in the Bellingham St. Patrick's Day Parade -- We'll see you on Saturday, March 11 at 11am!

The parade starts on West Laurel Ave, taking a right on Granary Ave, and right on Chestnut. We head up a slight hill to take a right on Railroad Ave where we will finish at Depot Market Square, with festivities continuing all afternoon at Boundary Bay Brewery!

Arrival time

The Parade will start at Noon in the parking lot at the downtown waterfront. Plan to arrive at the staging area between 11 & 11:30. It will be a sea of green! Just sit tight and wait for a Parade Committee Member. They will let you know where to stand, and when its your turn to march.

Parade Marchers' Parking

Vehicles that will be in the parade should go directly to the staging area. Other parade participants may park in the gravel parking lot on Cornwall Ave across the street from W Laurel Ave

Still have questions?

Where do I show up? The Parade will start in the parking lot on Laurel Ave that sits between the Boardmill Building and the train tracks.

What time do I show up? Plan to arrive between 11:00am and 11:30am to take your place in line.

Where should I park if I drove to the parade? Parking for parade participants is located just across Cornwall Avenue in a large gravel lot. Additional Parking is available on nearby downtown streets and the Commercial Street Parkade.

Where is my spot in line? Look for our St. Patricks Day Committee Members who will be staged at the parking lot entrances. We will assemble you according to group type i.e. bikers, musical groups, bands etc. Committee members will direct you on where to go the day of, so don't worry about ‘where your spot in line is’, until you arrive

What if I have a trailer, vehicle, or float (example: trailer for my horses) that needs to be staged ahead of time at the Parade finish? The parade will end on Maple Street heading West. If your entry requires extra space and/or post-parade preparation, there is a large gravel lot located near the end of the parade route, on the East side of Cornwall Avenue. As the parade winds its way to the finish, you’ll continue down Maple St, take a left on Cornwall, and end in the gravel lot located 100 yards further. If you already know you are going to need your horse-trailer at the end of the parade, place it there ahead of time!

What’s going on after the Parade? FREE, ALL DAY Entertainment for ALL AGES at Boundary Bay Brewery! Live Music, Irish food specials, Irish Dancing all day in the Bistro & Taproom plus more fun in the Beer Garden. Join Boundary Bay in a toast to the wonderful GREEN community we live in!
